I walked the path between the trees
Escorted by my entourage
To meet you at our rendezvous
Set in that vast woodland collage.
You took my hand and looked at me
Through the rising morning mist,
We gave our hearts and took our vows
To the music of the forest.
And as you gazed into my eyes
And bestowed on my your lover's kiss
I knew our love would never die -
This love we just could not resist.
Now that was many years ago
And we still share our plans and schemes,
We share the laughter and the tears,
We share the singing and the dreams.
Our hearts still see us through the night
When dusk and shadows fall around,
And we still play in full-bright sun
Casting our sorrows to the ground.
So when you look into my eyes
I feel the bond we have embraced,
I will love you until the day I die,
Our devotion cannot be effaced.
